The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has revoked 14 licenses of Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart outlets after inspections in Maharashtra found violations.
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) announced that it has cancelled 14 licences of Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart outlets in Maharashtra following a series of inspections.
The inspections revealed several breaches of food safety regulations, including improper storage conditions, failure to maintain required temperature controls and non‑compliance with labeling standards.
The affected outlets are spread across multiple districts in the state; the authority has ordered them to suspend operations until corrective actions are implemented.
Neither Blinkit, Zepto nor Instamart has issued a statement in response to the action.
FSSAI has urged all food retailers to review and adhere strictly to the Food Safety Act to avoid similar penalties.
