Farmers at the Inder Singh chowki in Alirajpur complained of irregular power supply and low voltage, saying their 3 a.m. grievance received no response.
Alirajpur district’s Inder Singh chowki is facing frequent power interruptions and reduced voltage, leaving local farmers unable to run irrigation pumps and other essential equipment. The irregular supply has disrupted agricultural activities during critical planting and harvesting periods.
On a recent night, a group of farmers arrived at the local electricity office around 3 a.m. to lodge a formal complaint. Despite waiting for several hours, they reported that officials did not acknowledge their concerns or provide any immediate remedy.
The aggrieved farmers are now demanding a consistent power schedule and prompt corrective action from the state electricity board. They have warned that continued supply failures could exacerbate crop losses and threaten livelihoods in the region.
