Police in Alirajpur uncovered a fraudulent transfer order that falsely bore the name and photograph of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The investigation led to the arrest of Sehore resident Mukesh Bhosle.
Police in Alirajpur received a complaint about a government letterhead that purported to be an official transfer order for an Ayush doctor, but carried the name and photograph of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The document was identified as counterfeit and appeared to be an attempt to misuse the CM's authority.
Following the complaint, the Alirajpur police registered a criminal case and traced the source of the fake order. Investigators detained Mukesh Bhosle, a resident of Sehore, who is alleged to have prepared and circulated the forged letter.
Authorities warned that forging official documents and impersonating a chief minister is a serious offence under the Indian Penal Code, and the case will be forwarded to the district court for further prosecution.
