India's factory wages climbed across most states this year, yet Jharkhand recorded a decline, defying the national pattern.
India’s latest factory wage data shows a general rise in pay across the country, with most states reporting higher average wages for workers in the manufacturing sector.
Contrary to this trend, Jharkhand’s figures indicate a fall in factory wages, marking a rare deviation from the national pattern.
The divergence suggests regional disparities in industrial growth and wage negotiations, raising questions about the state’s economic conditions and labor market dynamics.
The figures, sourced from NDTV Profit’s state‑wise wage analysis, provide a snapshot of how wage trends vary across India’s diverse industrial landscape.
