Bikaner, Rajasthan – In a coordinated raid under a special preventive drive, the state excise department seized a massive stock of illegal spirit amounting to 120,000 litres from three large tankers parked in the Mahajan industrial zone. The operation, aimed at curbing the illicit liquor trade, involved a team of officers who inspected the vehicles after receiving intelligence about unauthorized storage.
The seized quantity, equivalent to roughly 160,000 standard bottles, is among the largest single confiscations reported in the region this year. Officials noted that the spirit was not licensed for sale and could pose serious health risks to consumers.
Four individuals linked to the operation were taken into custody for further questioning. The department has launched a detailed investigation to trace the supply chain and identify any additional parties involved in the illegal production and distribution network.
