The EU Film Festival 2026 will bring a curated selection of 28 award‑winning European movies to Indian audiences.
The European Union’s Film Festival for 2026 is set to arrive in India, featuring a slate of 28 films that have garnered awards across Europe. Organisers say the programme aims to present a diverse mix of genres, from drama and documentary to experimental cinema, reflecting contemporary European storytelling.
The festival will be rolled out across major Indian cities, with screenings planned in partnership with local cultural institutions and cinema clubs. Each film has been selected for its artistic merit and international recognition, offering Indian viewers a rare glimpse of the continent’s cinematic achievements.
Cultural officials anticipate that the event will deepen Indo‑European cultural ties and stimulate interest among Indian filmmakers and audiences in European film practices. Ticketing details and exact dates will be announced later this year.
