The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) now allows members to revise their Know Your Customer (KYC) information through its official website, streamlining the process.
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced a digital facility that lets members modify their Know Your Customer (KYC) details directly on the EPFO portal. By logging in with their Universal Account Number (UAN) and password, members can access the KYC update section, upload the required documents such as Aadhaar, PAN or bank passbook, and submit the changes without visiting an office.
The online system operates round the clock, offering a faster alternative to the traditional manual process that required physical verification at EPFO centres. Once the documents are uploaded, the portal validates the information and updates the member's KYC profile within a short period.
EPFO officials have highlighted that the move aims to enhance transparency, reduce paperwork, and improve service delivery for the millions of workers covered under the provident fund scheme. The portal also provides real‑time status tracking, allowing users to monitor the progress of their KYC update.
Members are advised to ensure that the scanned copies of their documents are clear and legible to avoid rejections. The online KYC update feature is part of EPFO’s broader digital transformation agenda aimed at simplifying employee benefits management.
