The Eastern Nagaland Students' Federation has prohibited the transfer of teachers unless replacement staff are assigned, aiming to prevent disruption in schools.

The Eastern Nagaland Students' Federation (ENSF) issued a directive today barring the transfer of any teacher in the region unless a qualified replacement, or reliever, is appointed beforehand. The announcement was made through a formal statement circulated among school administrations and local media.

ENSF said the move is intended to safeguard uninterrupted learning for students, noting that sudden transfers without substitutes often lead to class cancellations and loss of instructional time. By ensuring a reliever is in place, the federation aims to maintain continuity in the classroom.

School authorities have been asked to comply with the directive and to coordinate closely with the education department to secure appropriate replacements before any transfer is processed. The federation warned that non‑compliance could trigger further action to protect students' right to consistent education.

The ENSF will monitor the implementation of the policy over the coming weeks and will review its effectiveness in preventing academic disruption.
