Emami Ltd reported a 2.8% decline in net profit to ₹144 crore for the second quarter of FY27, while its revenue surged 36.2% year‑on‑year.

Emami Ltd, the Indian consumer‑goods conglomerate, released its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2027. The company posted a net profit of ₹144 crore, marking a modest 2.8% decline from the same period a year earlier.
Despite the dip in profit, the firm recorded robust top‑line growth, with revenue climbing 36.2% year‑on‑year. The surge was driven by strong sales of its personal‑care and healthcare brands across domestic and overseas markets.
Management attributed the profit contraction to higher raw‑material costs and increased marketing spend, which offset the revenue gains. The company said it continues to focus on premiumisation and expanding its distribution network.
Analysts noted that the earnings dip is relatively small compared with the revenue acceleration, and they expect Emami to sustain its growth trajectory if cost pressures ease. The results underscore the resilience of the Indian FMCG sector amid a competitive landscape.
