The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Authority has granted Eleven Power a 25‑year licence to operate as a power distribution company in Gurgaon, expanding consumer choice in the city.

Eleven Power has received a 25‑year licence from the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Authority to function as a power distribution company in Gurgaon. The approval makes the firm the latest entrant in the city’s electricity market, which has traditionally been served by the state‑run distribution utility.
The new licence is intended to increase competition and give residential and commercial consumers more options for electricity supply. Regulators expect that additional players could drive improvements in service reliability and potentially influence tariff structures, although specific pricing reforms have not been announced.
Eleven Power will now begin the process of setting up its operational infrastructure, including metering, billing systems and customer service centres, as required under the licence terms. The company has indicated that it will roll out services in phases, prioritising high‑density residential zones.
The move aligns with broader policy efforts to liberalise the power sector in Haryana, encouraging private participation to meet growing demand in fast‑expanding urban areas like Gurgaon.
