The Election Commission of India has revised the schedule for Karnataka, allowing voters to submit their enumeration forms until 17 August.

The Election Commission of India (EC) has revised the election schedule for Karnataka, extending the deadline for voters to submit enumeration forms until 17 August 2024. The change follows a review of the voter registration process and aims to ensure that all eligible voters are properly listed before the upcoming elections.

Under the new schedule, citizens who have not yet submitted their enumeration forms can do so at any of the designated polling stations or through the EC’s online portal. The EC has emphasized that the extended deadline will not affect the overall election timetable, which remains unchanged.

Officials have urged voters to take advantage of the additional time to complete the registration process. Failure to submit an enumeration form by the new deadline may result in voters being excluded from the electoral roll.

The EC has also announced that it will conduct additional verification drives in key districts to address any discrepancies in the voter lists. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to improve the accuracy and inclusivity of the electoral rolls across the state.
