An elderly woman in Purnea lost her life after being allegedly pushed by chain snatchers while returning from a shop. Police are investigating the incident using CCTV footage.
A tragic incident has occurred in Sharda Nagar, Purnea, where an elderly woman, identified as Anjana Devi, succumbed to injuries sustained during a chain snatching attempt. The incident took place as the woman was returning home from a local shop.
According to preliminary reports, two individuals on a motorcycle allegedly snatched her gold chain and pushed her forcefully. The elderly woman sustained severe injuries from the fall and was rushed for medical treatment. However, she passed away during the course of her treatment.
The local police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the perpetrators and gather further evidence. The motive behind the attack appears to be the theft of the gold chain.
