Elderly Man Bitten on Nose by Mouse While Sleeping in Madhya Pradesh

An elderly person was reported to have been bitten on the nose by a mouse while sleeping at home in Madhya Pradesh. According to local reports, the rodent entered the bedroom and, in the darkness, bit the senior's nose before fleeing. The victim woke up with a painful puncture wound and was taken to a nearby health centre for treatment.

Medical staff cleaned the wound, administered tetanus prophylaxis and advised observation for any signs of infection. Health officials emphasized that mouse bites, though rare, can transmit diseases and should be treated promptly.

Local authorities urged residents to improve household hygiene, seal entry points, and use appropriate rodent control measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
