Eight aircraft were diverted to Surat Airport after Mumbai Airport faced strong winds. All planes landed safely and are parked, awaiting departure once weather improves.

Mumbai Airport reported sustained high winds that threatened flight operations, prompting the diversion of eight scheduled flights to Surat Airport in Gujarat. The aircraft, ranging from domestic to international carriers, landed safely and were parked at Surat.

Air traffic controllers confirmed that all flights were diverted without incident and passengers were accommodated at the alternate airport. The diversion decision was taken to ensure safety amid unpredictable wind conditions at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

Surat Airport officials stated that the diverted aircraft will depart once wind speeds subside and visibility improves. No injuries or damages were reported, and passengers were reassured of safe handling of their travel plans.
