Eight BJP nominees and two Samajwadi Party candidates from Uttar Pradesh were declared elected to the Rajya Sabha without opposition, as per the Election Commission.

The Election Commission announced that ten candidates – eight from the Bharatiya Janata Party and two from the Samajwadi Party – have been elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh. No other party or independent candidate filed nominations, resulting in a walk‑over for all ten seats.

The unopposed victory underscores the BJP's organisational strength in the state, while the two Samajwadi Party winners reflect the party's continued relevance in Uttar Pradesh politics. Both parties will now have a combined presence in the upper house that could influence upcoming legislative debates.

Uncontested Rajya Sabha elections are not uncommon when a clear numerical advantage exists in the state legislative assembly. The newly elected members are set to serve six‑year terms, and their induction will be formalised in the next parliamentary session.
