The Department of School Education, Jammu, has announced a last opportunity for its staff to apply for exemptions based on higher qualifications.

The Department of School Education (DSEJ) in Jammu has issued a final notice to its employees who wish to obtain exemptions on the basis of higher academic qualifications. After earlier extensions, the department now sets a definitive cut‑off date for submission of exemption requests, urging staff to act promptly.

Officials said the exemption scheme allows qualified personnel to be relieved from certain service requirements, provided they furnish the necessary documentary proof of their advanced degrees. Applications must be filed through the department’s internal portal and will be examined by a designated review committee.

The move aims to streamline staffing norms and recognize employees who have pursued further studies, thereby aligning personnel qualifications with the department’s educational objectives. Staff members who miss the deadline will have to adhere to the existing eligibility criteria.

DSEJ has advised all concerned officers to consult the official circular for detailed instructions on the documentation and submission process.
