The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 232 kilograms of methamphetamine during a coordinated operation in India's northeast region, marking a significant drug bust.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) announced that its teams intercepted a shipment containing 232 kilograms of methamphetamine in the northeastern part of the country. The operation, described as a crackdown, involved multiple checkpoints and intelligence inputs to locate the narcotics before they could be distributed. Officials said the seized quantity represents one of the largest methamphetamine busts recorded in the region. The drugs are believed to have been intended for wholesale distribution across state borders. DRI officials are continuing investigations to identify the source and the network behind the shipment, and have pledged further actions to curb drug trafficking in the northeast.
