The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Madhya Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to set up a telecom manufacturing zone in Gwalior.
The zone is expected to attract investment in telecom equipment manufacturing and support the government's "Make in India" initiative.
The MoU outlines plans to develop infrastructure, provide incentives, and create employment opportunities for local residents.
Officials said the project could begin construction within a year and aim to produce a range of telecom components domestically.
