The DMK has announced its plans to stage a protest on August 3. This move comes as Karnataka Chief Minister Vijay is set to visit the state. The protest is a response to the ongoing Mekedatu row, which has been a point of contention between the two states. The DMK has been vocal about its opposition to the project, citing concerns over the impact on the environment and the rights of the people of Tamil Nadu.
