DMK MP Kanimozhi has accused Tamil Nadu of unfairly rejecting the NEET exam, calling the state’s stance unjust.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has been a contentious issue in Tamil Nadu, where state officials have repeatedly opposed its implementation in state‑run medical colleges.

In a recent statement, DMK MP Kanimozhi criticized the state’s position, arguing that Tamil Nadu’s refusal to accept NEET is unfair to aspiring medical students and undermines national standards.

Kanimozhi said the state’s stance creates a two‑tier system, disadvantaging students who must take the exam while others are exempted.

The central government has reiterated its commitment to NEET as a uniform entrance test, and the debate is likely to intensify as the next admission cycle approaches.
