District Magistrate Abhishek Ranjan and SP Sandeep Singh clarified that no barricade was broken and no riot occurred despite a large crowd of devotees at Singheshwar Temple on the last Monday of Sawan.

On the final Monday of the Hindu month of Sawan, a sizable gathering of devotees assembled at Singheshwar Temple in Madhupur, Bihar. Media reports suggested that the crowd had turned violent, prompting concerns of a possible breach of security measures.

District Magistrate Abhishek Ranjan, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh, addressed the rumors in a joint statement. They confirmed that the temple’s barricades remained intact and that there was no evidence of any clash or disorder among the worshippers.

The officials emphasized that the police and administrative teams were monitoring the situation closely to ensure safety, but the event proceeded peacefully. Their clarification aims to dispel misinformation and reassure the public that law and order were maintained at the religious site.

Local authorities have urged devotees to cooperate with security personnel in future gatherings to avoid misunderstandings. The statement underscores the administration’s commitment to maintaining calm during high‑attendance religious occasions.
