DJ Alok aids restoration of 3 million sq m of native forest in Brazil

Brazilian electronic music star Alok has been linked to a large‑scale reforestation drive that has reclaimed roughly three million square metres of native forest across the country. The initiative reports that about 400,000 seedlings have been planted to replace the cleared vegetation.

The restored area spans several regions, although the exact locations have not been disclosed. Alok’s involvement is described as supportive, helping to mobilise resources and raise awareness for the project.

Environmental groups note that the scale of the effort represents a notable contribution to Brazil’s broader goal of expanding native forest cover, which has been under pressure from deforestation. The planting of hundreds of thousands of seedlings aims to accelerate natural regeneration and improve biodiversity.

While details on funding and partnership structures remain limited, the announcement underscores the growing role of public figures in championing ecological restoration in Brazil.
