The Deepotsav festival was inaugurated with a traditional ash aarti ceremony in Madhya Pradesh, marking the start of the Diwali celebrations.
Priests performed a solemn ash aarti to mark the official opening of the Deepotsav, the regional name for the Diwali festivities, in Madhya Pradesh. The ritual involved sprinkling sacred ash while chanting traditional hymns, a practice believed to purify participants and invoke blessings for the upcoming festival.
A gathering of devotees attended the ceremony, observing the rites with reverence. The community members stood together, offering prayers and lighting lamps after the aarti, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness.
The ash aarti signalled the commencement of a series of cultural and religious events that will be held across the state throughout the Diwali period, reinforcing communal harmony and spiritual renewal.
