Dibrugarh, Nagaland Universities Sign MoU to Boost Academic & Research Ties

Dibrugarh University and Nagaland University have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing joint academic programmes and research initiatives.
Representatives of Dibrugarh University in Assam and Nagaland University gathered recently to formalise a memorandum of understanding that will deepen academic and research cooperation between the two institutions. The signing ceremony underscored a shared commitment to expand educational opportunities across the Northeast region.
The MoU outlines a range of collaborative activities, including joint degree programmes, faculty and student exchange, shared use of laboratories and libraries, and coordinated research projects in areas of mutual interest. Both universities will also explore joint funding applications and organise seminars and workshops to foster knowledge exchange.
Officials expect the partnership to raise the profile of higher education in the region, attract greater research investment, and provide students with broader learning pathways. By pooling resources and expertise, the two campuses aim to generate innovative solutions to local challenges and contribute to the national agenda of strengthening Northeast India's academic ecosystem.
