DHL Express announced an 8.9% increase in its shipment charges nationwide, effective from 1 January.
DHL Express said it will raise its domestic shipment rates by 8.9% across India starting 1 January. The adjustment applies to all standard and express services offered by the courier giant.
The increase comes as the company cites higher fuel, labor and infrastructure costs that have risen over the past year. Customers, ranging from e‑commerce sellers to individual senders, are expected to see higher bills for parcel deliveries.
DHL has not disclosed a detailed breakdown of the new tariff structure, but it assured that the revised rates will be reflected on its online pricing tools and at service points from the start of the year.
