The Hindu devotional movie 'Hanuman Ansh' was postponed by a week after its original release date conflicted with the Hollywood blockbuster Spider‑Man, and producers introduced a buy‑one‑get‑one ticket promotion on opening day.
The makers of the devotional feature 'Hanuman Ansh' announced a one‑week postponement of its theatrical debut after the original slot coincided with the Indian release of the Hollywood superhero film Spider‑Man. The decision was taken to avoid a clash that could dilute audience footfall for both movies.
To compensate for the delay and generate buzz, the producers unveiled a buy‑one‑get‑one (BOGO) ticket scheme on the film’s opening day. The offer, applicable across major multiplex chains, allowed cinema‑goers to bring a companion for free, aiming to boost occupancy and word‑of‑mouth promotion.
Industry analysts note that the combination of a clear release window and an aggressive ticket promotion could help 'Hanuman Ansh' achieve a strong opening, potentially marking a historic run for a devotional genre film in contemporary Indian cinema.
