On the second day of the Shardiya Navratri, crowds gathered from early morning at major temples in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, to worship Brahmacharini, the second form of Goddess Durga.

Monday marked the second day of the Shardiya Navratri, and temples across Muzaffarpur district saw a surge of devotees eager to offer prayers to Brahmacharini, the second incarnation of Goddess Durga. Major shrines opened before dawn, and worshippers arrived in large numbers, filling the courtyards and chanting traditional bhajans.

The ritual for Brahmacharini typically involves a special aarti, offering of flowers and sweets, and recitation of verses from the Durga Saptashati. Organisers reported that the crowd was well-managed, with police and temple volunteers ensuring orderly movement and safety.

Local residents noted the festive atmosphere, with colorful rangoli designs and decorative lights adorning the temple premises. The gathering reflects the deep cultural significance of Navratri in Bihar, where each day honors a distinct aspect of the divine mother.

Authorities confirmed that no major incidents were reported, and the day’s worship proceeded smoothly, setting the tone for the remaining days of the nine‑day celebration.
