Devotee Walks Hand‑to‑Hand 105 km to Babadham in Sawan

In the holy month of Sawan, a devotee from Asarganj, Munger, has started a 105‑kilometre pilgrimage to the Babadham shrine, walking hand‑to‑hand along the traditional Khandi route that stretches from Sultanpur to Babadham.

The journey, which takes devotees through villages and small towns, is a testament to faith and endurance. The pilgrim, who has chosen to move without any support, carries only his own strength and the prayers of the community.

While another devotee on the same path carries a drum‑shaped kavadi, the hand‑walking pilgrim has attracted attention for his unique mode of travel, earning the nickname “bichchu bomb” among locals.

Local authorities have ensured the safety of the pilgrims, setting up checkpoints and providing medical assistance along the way.
