Deputy Chief Minister Shinde assured that all roads will be cleared of potholes before the upcoming Ganeshotsav festival and announced that the best performing civic bodies will receive awards.

Shinde told officials in a meeting that all roads in the state will be made pothole‑free before the Ganeshotsav celebrations.
He emphasized that the state government will increase maintenance work and coordinate with municipal corporations to clear existing potholes.
In addition, Shinde announced that the best performing civic bodies will be awarded for their road maintenance efforts, with criteria to be announced later.
The announcement comes as Maharashtra prepares for the annual Ganeshotsav, a major cultural event attracting millions of devotees.
Officials are expected to report progress by the end of the month.
