The Delhi government inaugurated 25 additional Atal Canteens, taking the total count in the capital to 100.

The Delhi administration officially opened 25 new Atal Canteens across the city, raising the overall network to a centennial count. These outlets were inaugurated as part of the ongoing expansion of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Infrastructure, which seeks to provide affordable, nutritious meals to students and low‑income residents.

Since their launch, Atal Canteens have become a staple for daily commuters, offering meals at subsidised rates that are well below market prices. The latest batch of canteens is strategically located in densely populated neighborhoods and near educational institutions to maximise accessibility.

With the network now reaching 100 outlets, Delhi officials anticipate a measurable impact on food security for economically weaker sections, while also easing the financial burden on families that rely on inexpensive meals for their children.

The expansion underscores the municipal government's commitment to social welfare through food security initiatives, aligning with broader national goals of inclusive growth and nutrition security.
