Delhi's Lieutenant Governor reviewed traffic enforcement measures, revealing a significant surge in penalties for vehicles driving in the wrong direction.

Enforcement of traffic rules in the national capital has seen a substantial increase, particularly concerning vehicles found driving in the wrong direction. Official reviews indicate a 98% rise in actions taken against such violations.

The enhanced vigilance was highlighted during a recent progress review meeting chaired by Delhi's Lieutenant Governor, Tarunjit Singh Sandhu. The meeting was attended by key officials including the Police Commissioner, Special CP Traffic, Joint CP Traffic, and DCP Traffic from various districts.

Beyond wrong-way driving, authorities are also intensifying their crackdown on illegal parking, aiming to improve traffic flow and road safety across the city. The review meeting focused on the overall effectiveness of current traffic management and enforcement strategies.
