Delhi will tighten pollution controls from November 1, imposing vehicle restrictions based on license plate numbers and banning construction activities in the capital.
Delhi authorities announced that starting November 1, the city will implement stricter pollution control measures. Vehicles will be restricted on alternate days according to the last digit of their registration plates, a scheme aimed at reducing traffic emissions. In addition, all construction and demolition activities will be prohibited to curb dust and particulate matter. The move is part of the city’s ongoing effort to improve air quality amid rising pollution levels.
