To combat rising air pollution during winter, Delhi will ban vehicles with emission standards lower than BS-VI from November 1st, 2026, to January 31st, 2027.
The Delhi government is implementing a new rule to restrict the entry of older vehicles into the capital city. Starting November 1st, 2026, and lasting until January 31st, 2027, vehicles with emission standards below BS-VI will be prohibited from entering Delhi. This measure aims to significantly reduce air pollution levels during the winter months when smog frequently blankets the city.
