Delhi Smog Engulfs City on Dussehra

Delhi residents woke up to a hazy morning on Dussehra, as smoke from celebratory fireworks and burning effigies cast a pall over the city. This has resulted in a significant drop in air quality, pushing it into the 'poor' category according to official monitoring stations. The dense smog is expected to persist for several hours, posing a health risk to vulnerable populations, especially children and the elderly.
