Early childhood enrolments in Delhi’s preschools have risen markedly over the last five years, reflecting growing parental focus on pre‑primary education.
Delhi’s early‑childhood education sector has witnessed a noticeable uptick in preschool enrolments over the past five years, according to local observations. The shift indicates that more families are opting to enrol their children in formal pre‑primary settings at an earlier age.
Education experts attribute the trend to heightened awareness of the benefits of structured early learning, as well as supportive policies that encourage participation in preschool programmes. Parents cite improved readiness for primary school and social development as key motivations.
The growing numbers are expected to influence future planning for preschool infrastructure and teacher recruitment, as authorities aim to sustain the momentum and ensure quality early education across the capital.
