The Delhi government has issued tenders worth Rs 104 crore to pilot pollution-control solutions across 40 locations in the capital.
The Delhi administration announced a procurement drive worth Rs 104 crore to test a range of pollution‑control technologies at forty identified sites across the city. The tender invitation aims to attract private firms and research organisations capable of deploying and evaluating air‑purification, emissions‑reduction and monitoring solutions in real‑world conditions.
The selected projects will be installed on a trial basis, allowing authorities to assess performance, cost‑effectiveness and scalability before any wider rollout. Officials said the initiative is part of a broader strategy to curb the capital’s chronic air‑quality problems, especially during winter months when pollutant levels peak.
Details on the evaluation criteria, timeline for award and implementation phases were included in the tender documents, which were made public on the Delhi government's procurement portal. The move follows repeated calls from environmental experts for more data‑driven interventions to address the city’s smog crisis.
