The Delhi Ramlila Mahasangh has warned it will protest if any discrepancies arise in the upcoming Ramayana release.

The Delhi Ramlila Mahasangh, the prominent organization that stages the annual Ramleela in the capital, issued a statement today warning that it will protest if any errors or misrepresentations occur in the forthcoming Ramayana release.

In a press release dated August 3, the Mahasangh’s spokesperson said the group is closely monitoring the production and is prepared to mobilise its volunteers to ensure the story’s authenticity and cultural integrity.

The organization added that it would call for a halt to the release or organise demonstrations if the content deviates from the traditional narrative or contains inaccuracies that could offend devotees.

The warning comes as the Ramayana film is slated for a nationwide release later this month, with high expectations from audiences across India.

The Mahasangh’s statement was shared on its official social media channels and has sparked discussions among religious communities and film producers alike.
