Delhi police’s cyber cell removed nearly 500 posts on social platforms that were flagged as attempts to provoke unrest.

Delhi police’s cyber cell announced that it has taken down close to five hundred social‑media posts that were identified as attempts to spark unrest in the capital. The removal was carried out after the posts were flagged by the department’s monitoring tools as containing inflammatory content aimed at communal tension.

According to the police, the posts appeared on several popular platforms and were designed to provoke public disorder by spreading false or provocative narratives. The cyber cell said it acted swiftly to prevent any escalation and to maintain public peace.

No arrests have been reported in connection with the takedown, and officials emphasized that monitoring of online content will continue as part of routine security operations. The move underscores the authorities’ focus on curbing digital misinformation that could lead to violence.
