Delhi police uncovered a counterfeit note operation operating from rented rooms in Patel Nagar and Baljit Nagar, confiscating fake currency worth ₹1.823 million and arresting four suspects.
Delhi Police announced that a coordinated raid has dismantled a counterfeit currency ring operating out of rented rooms in the Patel Nagar and Baljit Nagar neighborhoods of the capital. The operation was focused on producing and distributing forged Indian rupee notes.
During the raid, officers seized counterfeit notes with a total face value of ₹1.823 million (approximately 18.23 lakh rupees). The seized notes included several denominations, though exact details have not been disclosed.
Four individuals identified as core members of the gang were taken into custody. Their identities remain withheld pending further investigation, and they have been handed over to the crime branch for interrogation.
