Delhi Police Announces Security Measures and Traffic Restrictions for CJP Protest on Oct 10

Delhi Police has outlined a detailed security plan and traffic curbs for the CJP protest scheduled on October 10, advising commuters to follow alternate routes and public transport options.
The Central Judicial Panel (CJP) is set to stage a protest in Delhi on October 10, prompting the city’s police to roll out a comprehensive security arrangement. Officers will be deployed at key intersections, entry points to the protest zone will be cordoned off, and surveillance teams will monitor crowd movement throughout the day.
To minimise disruption, the police have announced temporary road closures on major arteries such as Ashok Rajpath, Janpath and parts of the Ring Road. Vehicles are advised to use alternative routes like the Outer Ring Road and to follow real‑time traffic updates issued by the traffic police.
Commuters are further urged to rely on the Delhi Metro, which will operate on its regular schedule, and to avoid non‑essential travel in the vicinity of the protest. The police have also set up information kiosks near metro stations to guide the public on safe passage.
Authorities have assured that the security plan complies with standard crowd‑control protocols and that any violations will be dealt with strictly. The aim is to ensure the protest proceeds peacefully while maintaining public safety and traffic flow.
