Delhi Metro has temporarily closed 16 stations following a planned protest by the Chief Justice of India, while key interchange stations will remain operational.
Delhi Metro announced the closure of 16 stations effective until further notice due to security concerns over an upcoming protest by the Chief Justice of India.
The shutdown includes stations along the Rajiv Chowk–Janpath corridor, among others, as authorities prepare for potential demonstrations.
Despite the closure, major interchange hubs such as Rajiv Chowk, Janpath, and Connaught Place will stay open to allow commuters to transfer between lines.
Metro officials urged passengers to use alternate routes and check the official website for real‑time updates.
