The moon is slated to rise later this evening in Delhi for Karwa Chauth, while weather forecasts warn of rain and dense clouds that could obstruct the traditional darshan.
Delhi residents observing Karwa Chauth will look to the night sky for the moon’s appearance later this evening, a ritual that marks the fast’s conclusion. The moon’s rise is a key moment for married women who perform the darshan before breaking their fast.
Meteorological reports for the capital indicate a high likelihood of rain and thick cloud cover during the expected window of moonrise. Such conditions can make the lunar sighting difficult, prompting many families to rely on television broadcasts or mobile apps for real‑time updates.
Authorities and community groups have advised devotees to stay informed about the latest weather alerts and to keep alternative viewing options ready. The traditional practice remains unchanged, but participants are urged to prioritize safety if heavy rain develops.
