Delhi will keep a continuous ban on vehicles from other states that do not comply with BS‑6 emission standards.
Delhi authorities have confirmed that the prohibition on out‑of‑state vehicles lacking BS‑6 compliance will remain in force for the entire year. The restriction applies to any vehicle registered outside the National Capital Territory that does not meet the BS‑6 emission norm introduced across India. Officials said the measure is part of the city’s ongoing strategy to curb air pollution and will be monitored by traffic enforcement agencies. Violators are expected to face the usual penalties prescribed under the city’s vehicular regulations.
