The Delhi Election Commission has cleared 20 lakh special instruction requests (SIRs), but 13 lakh remain pending. Special camps will be held on 18 and 25 October to help voters.

The Delhi Election Commission announced that it has resolved 20 lakh special instruction requests (SIRs), leaving 13 lakh cases still pending as of now.

SIRs are formal requests filed by voters for assistance or clarification on electoral matters, and they have posed a significant administrative challenge for the commission.

To address the backlog, the commission will conduct special camps on 18 and 25 October. Booth‑level officers will be on hand to help voters with their SIRs and ensure they receive timely support.

The camps aim to streamline the process, reduce delays, and guarantee that voters can complete their electoral procedures before the upcoming elections.
