The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced that it will offer free land and a pond to support the celebration of Chhath Puja across the city. The move is intended to facilitate devotees in performing the traditional rituals associated with the festival.
Under the new arrangement, local communities can apply for land parcels and pond facilities without any cost. The DDA has stated that the provision will be made in areas where the festival is widely observed.
Officials said the initiative would help preserve cultural practices and encourage participation among residents. The DDA will oversee the allocation and maintenance of the sites to ensure they meet the requirements of Chhath Puja observances.
