Delhi police have detained a married couple suspected of acting as agents for Pakistan's ISI, allegedly transmitting SIM cards and classified information to the foreign intelligence service.

Delhi Police's Crime Branch announced the arrest of a husband and wife on charges of espionage on behalf of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The couple is accused of procuring and forwarding multiple SIM cards, along with classified material, to handlers linked to the foreign agency.

According to officials, the investigation began after intelligence inputs flagged unusual communication patterns involving the couple. Subsequent surveillance revealed the transfer of sensitive data, prompting a coordinated raid at their residence in Delhi.

Both individuals have been remanded in custody, and the case is being forwarded to the National Investigation Agency for further probing into the extent of the alleged network. No additional arrests have been reported at this stage.

The Delhi Police emphasized that the operation underscores ongoing vigilance against cross‑border espionage activities targeting India's security apparatus.
