Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta opened a Jan Kaushal skill centre and a Swyam health centre in Motinagar, projects initiated by MLA Harish Khurana and funded by the Madan Lal Khurana Foundation.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presided over the inauguration of two new public facilities in Motinagar on Tuesday. The Jan Kaushal Centre aims to provide vocational training and skill development programs for local youth, while the Swyam Health Centre is set up to deliver basic outpatient services and preventive care.

Both projects were realized through the Madan Lal Khurana Foundation, responding to a proposal put forward by local legislator Harish Khurana. The foundation’s involvement underscores a growing trend of private philanthropy supporting government‑led welfare initiatives.

In her address, CM Gupta highlighted the importance of expanding skill‑building infrastructure and accessible healthcare as key components of the Prime Minister’s broader development vision for the capital. She urged residents to make full use of the centres to enhance employability and health outcomes.

The inauguration was attended by local officials, community leaders and representatives of the foundation. The facilities are expected to become operational within the next week, offering free training courses and medical consultations to Motinagar’s residents.
