Delhi CM Rekha Gupta calls protesters 'evil and sinful' during demonstration

Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta responded to a recent protest in the capital, publicly branding the demonstrators as "evil and sinful." The remarks were made during a press briefing held shortly after the gathering, which had drawn a sizable crowd in central Delhi. Gupta's comments underscored the government's disapproval of the protest's demands, which officials said threatened public order. Opposition leaders and civil‑society groups criticized the language as inflammatory, urging restraint and dialogue. The administration has not announced any further action against the protesters at this stage.
