The Delhi municipal authority is looking for land to set up additional waste‑processing facilities after existing landfills approached full capacity, reports India Today.
The civic body of Delhi has announced it is searching for suitable land to develop new waste‑processing plants.
Existing landfill sites in the capital are reported to be nearing their maximum capacity, prompting the search for alternatives.
Officials indicated that the authority will evaluate potential locations and may coordinate with the state government to secure the required area.
The initiative comes as Delhi grapples with rising municipal solid waste generation, and the new facilities are expected to improve waste‑management efficiency.
