In Dausa district, 26 out of 27 submitted nominations for chairperson posts in 11 municipal bodies were found valid, while a BJP candidate in Lavain was disqualified for lacking an authorized AB form.
The election commission’s review of nominations for chairperson posts in 11 municipal bodies in Dausa district has concluded that 26 of the 27 submitted nominations were valid.
The nominations were filed for positions across the district’s municipal councils, covering towns such as Dausa, Lawa, and others. The commission verified signatures, eligibility criteria and supporting documents before declaring them valid.
In Lavain, a candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party, Gudna Devi, had her nomination rejected because the required authorized AB form was missing, rendering the submission incomplete.
The remaining valid nominations will now move to the next stage of the election process, with the commission preparing for the upcoming chairperson elections scheduled for later this month.
